Independence first
In a multi-brand group, the brands are not variations of the parent. They each speak to their own audience, in their own voice, and are judged on their own terms.
The parent company's first job is therefore restraint: knowing which decisions belong to the business and leaving them there.
Where support belongs
Support belongs where the work is repeated. Technology foundations, brand craft, distribution relationships, standards of quality and governance are needed by every business and are wasteful to rebuild five times over.
Support does not belong in product taste, tone of voice or customer relationships. Those are the business itself.
How decisions are made
Ownership gives the group a say. Good ownership means using it rarely and openly: an agreed direction, clear reporting, and a bias towards the judgement of the people closest to the customer.
What this looks like at Kaysoma Group
The group's current businesses — TAPEN.IO, Club Dumont and AI Visibility — operate under their own names with their own teams. A digital production company and a children's entertainment company are in preparation and will be named when they launch.
